Galanthus nivalis 'Green Sentinel' (in-the-green)

Galanthus nivalis 'Green Sentinel' (in-the-green)

£110.00
Amongst a large number of Belgium-derived 'Scharlockii' selections grown here, the clone my eye picks out for its less than usual leafiness, the flowers well above the foliage has been grown here simply as JM06 denoting it origin as a selection by Johan Mens. Aesthetically falling in its outer segment markings within what might be described as the Selina Cords Group, 'Green Sentinel' has good sized flowers held outwards on their scapes on slender pedicels. The 'ears' of the spathe are distinctly upright, held together by their membrane towards the base, a habit which suggested the name. Congratulations, Johan, on a great plant.
