Galanthus 'Benda Trowel' (dormant)

Galanthus 'Benda Trowel' (dormant)
Happily, snowdrops and mischief are never very far apart and the playful misuse of an existing cultivar's name was simply too good to resist. Said snowdrop is a hybrid from the stable of Joerg Lebsa, name abetted by a little nudging from you-know-who. The foliage is strongly glaucous and strikingly contrasts with dark green, decidedly unglaucous green scapes and spathe. The outer segments are NOT white but tinted palest green which sets off the very dark apical inner marking with a paler version at towards the base very nicely. This cultivar bears no resemblance to G. 'Brenda Troyle'! Very limited stock.
