Narcissus x taitii 'King of Spain' (dormant)

Narcissus x taitii 'King of Spain' (dormant)
(syn. N. johnstonii) The correct name for hybrids of Narcissus triandrus and N. pseudonarcissus from which this rediscovered cultivar derives. This happened in an old garden in Wales where a visiting Alan Street and David Bromley first saw 'Queen of Spain' and then a short distance away, 'King of Spain' in which the corona is flanged (not so in 'Queen of Spain'). Circumstantial perhaps but an extraordinarily beautiful daffodil with sulphur-yellow flowers of a shade rarely seen in other cultivars. I showed specimens to the RHS Bulb Committee in 2019 who awarded a Botanical Certificate. ONE PER CUSTOMER, PLEASE.
