John Morley's much sought-after naming from the garden at North Green Snowdrops where it occurred. This yellow of the colour-change type, in which the ovary is green and the inner segment marking becomes an intense bright ochre yellow from within, often greener in the early stages of flowering, is believed to derive from an ultimately Czech origin colour-change seedling crossed with a G. plicatus or G. ? valentinei. The result is an extremely vigorous and desirable addition justifying the fulsome praise when first offered in 2014.
